I really liked this design, I thought it was really cute and I came up with a vague game concept to go with it.
As my target audience is children, I decided to make it a game where this little white character fell asleep and woke up in a fantasy world and it can dress up as different things like a ballerina, a faerie, a vampire things like that and then it battles little made up creatures and reaches an end point where it’ll wake up from the dream and fall asleep in a different places in the human world and it’ll be a different type of level. I went with this because children love dressing up and it is a big part of developing their imagination so I really wanted to incorporate that into my idea.
I’m thinking of it being a simple game a bit like the Mario ones where it’s just one button to attack and one to block and the joystick or D-Pad to move.

The concept behind my ideas is that when I think about seeing faces in cars and other inanimate objects, I think back to my childhood where I distinctly remember sitting in the back of my mums car, with my sisters, looking at the different faces in the cars going in the opposite direction. Not only that, but i was also a very curious child and always asked my parents questions they didn’t really have answers for. As an adult I can now just google these questions but i think that I want to make an animation to explain what I would have wanted to use when I was a child. This means that I need to make the illustrations colourful and playful because it will be aimed at a young target audience. I might also want to think about including fun sounds and audio to keep them interested and help them understand because at that age they might not yet be able to read. It is also relevant to children now, because they are being brought up with so much technology around them they almost all know how to find clips on youtube on their ipads.

Some development images of my 3D prototype (once finished will be photoshopped into Queen’s Park safe for reference of how it will look within the space as well as working with sizing etc). I will create my design to add as a texture to incorporate those eye catching, vibrant colours.
This is my first idea for the animated poster. It has been created in the correct dimensions. I think it is good, but not very interesting and relatively static.
