Soon after being stripped of their royal status and thrown on the Isle of the Lost with the other "villains" the King & Queen of Hearts had two children, first Victoria and then Lizzie. The ex-monarchs had been granted what Auradon deemed to be sanity whenever they were forced out of Wonderland and onto the Isle so that they would be seen as little of a threat as possible. Unfortunately, the way Alice had interpreted their personalities and actions had not been erased, but instead passed on down the Hearts lineage to both Victoria and Lizzie. From an early age, both of the girls began to display behavior others (especially the ignorant, idle, and complicit Auradonians) would think are "mad", "over the bend", or "entirely bonkers". Victoria eventually found out about why they were the way they were one day, overhearing a conversation about the Isle children inheriting their parent's fates. Soon after, Victoria had informed Lizzie, and the girls decided to stick together and support each other in anyway they could.
