For all of your Genshin characters / verses, what is their opinion on Archons? Has this opinion changed over time? owo (shush I know Zhongli was one but he can still answer) || @savedgames || HC time
[[ So as a starting point and a neutral baseline, we have Zhongli, who’s very much stated his view on at least being an Archon, Zhongli believes Archons had a rather big part when it came to building their lands, protecting then and making them what they are, and of course, they have something else (that we don’t know) in relation to Celestia, a seat, something of importance.
The issue is, at least on his end, the people of Liyue were too dependent on their Archon, which, in the end, could be their downfall, his duties are over, Liyue doesn’t need him, and he believes the other lands may fall in a similar point, Archons were good initial guidance, but the time for gods is over and mortals have learned, long ago, even before Archons, to live without them, why not return to that?
---------------
Xaer, also has a very neutral perspective when it comes to Archons, he doesn’t hate them, but he doesn’t love them, he’s grateful that he got his vision, as he feels it was a gift for his efforts, since he’s never gotten to meet the Cryo Archon, that’s all he’s got. Xaer doesn’t understand some people’s obsessions with their Archons, in fact, the statues of the seven sort of creep him out, for he believes there’s something else to them.
---------------
Lazael, often ponders what Archons truly do, being from Mondstadt, he never really learned much aside from what books and people say, people worship Barbatos yet he does not feel connected to the Anemo Archon in the slightest. The only thing he has from an Archon, his vision, he often wonders just why he was chosen for it, as it’s brought him quite a good amount of grief and pain, Lazael feels no closeness nor gratitude to Archons.
---------------
Idate doesn’t give a damn about Archons, he thinks they’re there as a show, puppets, in some way, he’s also a bit upset about getting a vision, as he believes he can handle himself more than well without it.
To him, Archons are a face that represents their respective element, they’re gods not to be meddled with, but that’s it, he does not believe they are to be respected, he doesn’t need them. ]]
