𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐄𝐂𝐇 & 𝐕𝐎𝐈𝐂𝐄
█ to be blunt, volk doesn’t like talking. he speaks in short sentences wherever possible and resents having to explain himself. where possible, he will avoid conversation. when he does have to speak, he doesn’t see the point in dressing up his words ― why say ‘ could you please do this for me? ’ when you could say ‘ do this for me ’ and get the same outcome? he typically doesn’t need to say much more due to the fact he’s pretty intimidating to look at. if he is to drop anything from his speech, it’s the manners. this is the case regardless of hierarchy, he will speak the same to his commander as he does to his horse.
it’s not uncommon for volk to make a statement and then say nothing else to clarify ; shame on you for not understanding what he means. by most people’s standards, he would just come off as rude. his face will show all of his expression when he is listening to someone talk, however, even if he isn’t responding. he is not one to hide how he feels, even if he doesn’t verbally express it.
in terms of voice, to compare to our world, his accent would be similar to russian. he speaks low and boldly with little inflection in his tone (very little reason to believe what he isn’t saying isn’t already correct, so why would it be a question?). he may soften his voice when speaking with children, but everyone else will get the same unwavering and clipped tone.
