It’s hard to say, what’s a memory and what’s just, based on...Knowledge?That dream I had when I was younger, walking through the woods, seeing that wolf for the first time, how it told me it would kill me, how I loved it anyway. A small, pale green creature that resembles a peanut, surrounded by a darker green gel. The inner body has a curly yellow growth on the top left portion of its body. It has small eyes and a diamond-shaped mouth, though it is not capable of eating in the same way as most other Pokémon.

The Pokémon is omnivorous, though it appears to prefer plants, as they are easier to find. Instead of using its mouth to eat, it absorbs its food into the gelatinous outer shell and dissolves it, absorbing the nutrients.

This instance of the Pokémon enjoys being held. It is recommended to wear gloves while holding the Pokémon, as the outer coating may cause rashes if touched with bare skin.

This, being the first log, is definitely a good time to introduce myself. I'm Lucas, former assistant to Professor Rowan and now a professor myself! I'm quite excited about this, honestly, because this gives me an amazing opportunity to share a lot of the random things I've observed in Pokemon that people usually wouldn't care to look at.

I'm sure you all know about regional variants. These are more dramatic forms of changes that occur in a Pokémon in different regions. Many Pokemon are fairly good at adapting to different environments in different regions.

For a quick and fairly simple example, let's take a look at Wurmple.

A Hoennian Wurmple is one's run of the mill Wurmple, although it has the best climbing ability out of all of them. I'd imagine this is likely because Hoenn is so filled with water, being wet might be a bit of a problem. It could also be attributed to the forests of the region homing much taller and difficult to climb trees. I've caught a few and, boy, do they get stuck to the walls easily.

A Wurmple from Sinnoh, however, is slightly different. Thanks to the overall colder temperatures of the region, most wild Wurmple native there have grown a layer of fuzz- similarly, other worm-like bug types such as Caterpie do the same in colder environments- that is surprisingly effective at staving off cold. I mean, it isn't the most helpful when you're a tiny bug surrounded by predators, but I'd imagine it can make the cold just a bit more bearable. I've found they lose the coat when evolving, since they're now confined to a cocoon, and it tends to shed away after years of living in a warmer area.

I wasn’t too-too attached to my weapon, but I kinda miss just...Having one? I mean I’ve got a sword laying around the house now but obviously it’s not the same. I also took fencing for a while, that was fulfilling, especially because I came in and day 1 absolutely destroyed the guy who had been top of the class until then. I just miss the motions.

I miss hacking a lot, but more than that, I miss Hacking-Space, it was comforting, it felt good to be in, it was peaceful, and for the most part, I knew no one else could (or would) bother me there, I liked the soft grays and whites, and the odd feeling of existing-but-not in a space, even the sharp angles of the boxes and squares, these were familiar, I miss them.

Sometimes I miss the ruins, or the sea, I miss the sea a lot, I have a lot of memories of standing on the rubble, on the sinking buildings, and just looking out, nothing but the Wind, the Sea, the Sky, and Her. It was quiet, especially after the events of Ending-E, and I liked that too. The not being disturbed.

I miss people the most I think, but that’s a given I think!

It may be petty but I also just miss my body, the human body is kind of a nightmare and it can’t be easily fixed or changed when there are issues, it’s very frustrating!

I think, like the sky at night.Hmm, as for music, I like This one, it’s a happy and sad thing, actually, I think someone used to sing it to me, I don’t remember exactly who, or if it was multiple iterations of Her, I’d have to discuss it more with Her, I think Kaine knew it though, and I think that n2 knew it though, and whether on accident or on purpose, passed it along to n9, or maybe n9 just knew it because he had Nier or Emil’s memories, either way, I still find it very, very soothing, and always have, I knew the song before I knew any of the games. It’s why I got into the original Nier! It makes me feel...Safe.On a less happy note, but one I’ll share regardless, I think I sang it to her too, at least once, for her grave.

This piece of fanart is a favorite, I associate Her and I with stars, deeply so, and This piece, hacking space is deeply comfortable to me, and there’s an intimacy about being in someone else’s coding or having them in yours, again, safe. I like any fanart with themes of Stars, red thread, Marriage, or anything sweet and happy, flowers and idle moments of love.

My memories are pretty hard to explain, and tend to bounce between memory, dream, and feeling that ‘this is true’, but above all, any moment when she was happy, or any moment where we were at least content, are my favorites, soft moments of downtime, or the work put in to build a new life post ending E, how well we bounced off one another when we were Intoner and Disciple, fragile moments of casual intimacy that people take for granted. So long as I was or am with Her, I’m content, and everything is okay.

This Song, I also associate with us, maybe more than almost any other, so I think I’ll close on it before this gets too long, it makes my chest tight every time, it is very, very deeply, a song that I consider ours.
