a fair bit of what i write (in my journals as well as the limited things i write here) concerns my complete obsession with the effect of emotion. my penchant for feeling so fully whatever emotion i am experiencing at any one time, washing over in out above around me, consuming me, taking me with it as it sails or slashes.
i’ve always preferred to feel. i’ve considered it, so many times, a major facet of the human condition that i would be so much less without. the whole “die in a blaze of glory or simply disappear” conundrum is one way to think about it. can i say i’ve lived if i’ve only lived “by halves” (as Isabella Thorpe would say)?
so no, i am not embarrassed in the least that when i worry, i worry restlessly, when i am happy, i am beyond comprehension, when i am sad, i am despondent, when i am agitated, i can’t stand it, when i make love, i am feverish. i babble and squeal and cry and scream and moan, for fear of a fucking cliche.
"Not as proffered judgement, for thou alone mayeth render upon this, and of a certainty would I bow to thine own judgement of thine own eyes.” - Infinity’s Edge, John Carter.
