Had a lot of fun with drop stitches on this :) I really liked how the colors ended up distributing, too, once it was all blocked.

Last Day at Black Mountain College

Today was checkout and drive home day, so I just went with a basic art-themed outfit, and no one will stop me from wearing infinity scarves.

This is all the stuff I brought for a trip that was Thursday evening through Saturday morning. I was struck by how pretty it all looked once I unpacked.

It is so beautiful there. When the College was in operation, it was a working farm. Special events are held there now through Lake Eden Retreat.

I was so happy to be able to take this trip, despite dealing with limited energy from Long Covid. The tour on Friday was two hours of walking on somewhat hilly terrain. That would have definitely caused a crash (I’m betting a months-long one) so we used a wheelchair, which my awesome husband had to pack in and out of our car and drive us to meet up with the tour in different locations. I’m still self-conscious using my wheelchair but shifting my mindset to how it enables me to do things I LOVE, and when I’m thinking “are people looking at me” I say yes they are I have a great outfit on.

I can’t wait to go back here and stay in the other cabins.
