From the InfiniTints prompt "Teal me more!"

My special interest is psychology. Every other interest somehow leads back to it, whether that be characters in a story or the effect of art on the mind, history repeating or why everyone is so different yet similar to one another. How to write effectively. What music does to people. What traumatizes children. How to be better.

I made a reblog with this earlier, but I decided to make it its own post.

Not the end design but hey! It's progress!

This is my submission for Autism Acceptance Month's Autistic Creative Festival's InfiniTints prompts Unmasking Magenta AND AuTism Gold.

What does unmasking feel like to me? It feels like falling into all of those classic cat-like stims I internalized from the only creatures I understood as a child. Stretching, meowing, purring, sunlight naps.

We followed the blue prompt, Peace of Mind.

My autism makes it very difficult for me to communicate.

When I speak, I go mute.

When I write, I miss my target.

Sometimes it feels like my efforts are drifting out into an ocean of words.

I dress up my messages, try to format them properly, but it never seems to be enough.

And when I have the words, they quickly drain me.

It feels like no one is listening.

I am eternally grateful for those who are patient enough to help me reach them.
