If you let these fools lure you in, you will be a part of a board game where YOU get played. The breakdown: bar owns the liquor license and bar is open nightly. Bar's slow days are a Tuesdays and Thursdays. Promoter approaches bar and asks to promote a mini concert on Thursday night. Promoter promises bar he will bring heavy traffic, who in turn will buy plenty of alcohol. Bar agrees to allow promoter to use their rinky dink establishment for free to do his corny concert series. Bar holds 200 people. Promoter charges $20 per person and makes $4,000. Bar sells $50 in drinks to each person, making $10,000 that night Promoter charges you and three other acts $100 to perform and you MUST sell 10 tickets at $20 a pop. You fork over $300 to get in stage and "get your name out there to the people." The audience is getting drunk on one side of the bar saying, "who the heck is that whack artist?" Nobody expects you to be there. Nobody will sing along with you, because nobody has your music. Take your money and use it to promote your brand, music, and image in your area and region.
