the theory is there’s no new healers or tanks rn because they need to address the balance issue. Fact is, WHMs and PLDs are not optimal, they’re so far off the speedrun meta list that they’re in timbuktu. SB and no new jobs will hopefully give them time to address it, but we’ll have to see. Fingers crossed but I am nervous, personally. Outside of raid XIV will not be fun for those whose free time is scarce when they play only dippus.
Yeah, I hadn’t thought about it to that point, but I was kind of getting the feeling they might use this time to tweak the current flaws in the tank/healer classes we already have, which, you’re exactly right. PLD and WHM are at a snails pace to about everything else in my (admittedly limited) impression. Also super curious to how the revamped battle system will play into all of this, but as far as I’m aware there’s been diddly squat information on that front so far to make any real sort of conjecture.
