This past year has FLIPPED life upside down... and now it’s time for me to figure out how to navigate and swim through this new way of living. I just became aware of palm oil and now I’ll try my best to boycott palm oil productions. Recently, my friend told me that she doesn’t eat Nutella because it has palm oil in it and that oil causes cancer( Thank goodness I have never tasted Nutella). Then I decided to research about that oil and learned it actually not cause cancer but is one of the worst things for our planet. It may even have some health benefits for us but is the main cause of extinction of our closest kins-orangutans.. And it’s not the all. It’s the reason of deforestation! Can you imagine; just to eat that useless oil we, yes WE cut trees, huge rainforests down! Which is also habitats of our friends: tigers, rhinos, elephants and much more insects and species.. What you can do ? Use your consumer power and at least try to increase your palm oil intake. Read ingredients carefully
