a few people have sent me messages to this effect, including a handful asking me to weigh in on whether this is the end for gaylor. tbh i dont think it changes anything, nor will it represent a real challenge to the theory--at least in the short term. i spoke at length in my video about the ways that the theory is future-proofed, and how the consistency of gaylors' responses to pressure makes it pretty easy to predict future reactions: in particular i said something to the effect of "if tswift said in explicit terms 'i am a cis straight woman who exclusively & enthusiastically dates cis straight men,' that wouldnt even be a speed bump." to me it's like, if her being in a romantic relationship with a guy is something thatll be construed as a pr stunt or a cover story, i dont see why her marrying that guy would be any different yknow?
