Payal Kothari, a young girl from rich family is found dead in hotel room at Saturday night. Officer Rajat is handed over the case. To solve case ASAP, officer Rajat asks detective Ghanshyam Shastri for help. While everyone is trying to put down the case, Ghanshyam is ready to go against odds to solve the case. Will Ghanshyam be able to solve the case? Will he be able to survive while solving the case? Will Payal get justice? The storyline is fast paced and griping. The narration is very captivating that kept me hook till end. The story has not only good amount of suspense and thriller to hold your breath but also equal amount of typical Indian drama, romance and witty humor. The way Ghanshyam puts his advice to appreciate in laws really made me laugh. The characters are well built and strong esp. Payal's family where the author portrays plenty of aggression in them. The end is unable to guess till the second last clue. The kind of life rich people actually live is well conveyed in the book. The book cover is brilliant and eye catching.Only the font size in the book disappointed me to some extent. #readingLIST The Amulet of Samarkand. This is suitable for middle grade readers. I had read this book a while ago and I remember being extremely turned off by the cover. I planned to give it 10 pages and pass it over but I was hooked! Bartimaeus is the most hilarious and sarcastic character I have read in a while. He had me in splits. The story and world building is also extremely impressive. There are a lot of storylines that run parallel to one another but don't seem to connect till the climax. I recommend you check out this novel if you like fantasy and action packed novels. Can't recommend the first book in the series enough!
