Whenever the security system gets reset, adventure ensues. I was the only one “on duty” today, so I had to click-clack my way down to digital logistics or whatever the IT guys call themselves, have them run everyone on my floor new ID badges so they could get into their areas, and for legal reasons personally escort each client to their door and swipe them in to make sure everything went well enough that no one complained.  And since 17 people were in the office today on my floor, 11 of which showed up separately after 9:00am, I had to make 12 instances of small talk with people I try and avoid like they can stare me to death. I think maybe some of my next pieces should be on them.  Only 4 of the cards failed, which sounds nice but when you have to tell clients they can’t use the office space they pay for...it doesn't go well. I had to dump them at my desk, “run” down the stairs in heels because it made it look like more effort if I jog to the stairwell than wait by the elevator, and get it all fixed before anyone important noticed. Which I did. But my feet. MY FEET.
