I'm back to oil paint for this year and honestly haven't decided what I want to do with the backgrounds so they're all just whatever flat color I picked for the base.

It’s Preakness Day!  🏇

Surprise Derby winner Golden Tempo will not be running today, so there will be no Triple Crown this year. But the Preakness still promises lots of excitement, with a field of 14 horses including four returning from the Derby: zero-win Ocelli, speedster Incredibolt, Californian Robusta, and dramatic last-minute Derby scratch Great White (who is indeed great, at 1300+ lb)! 🏇💨

Plus, for the first time since 1873, the Preakness will not be run at Pimlico, which is undergoing renovations. Instead, the race will be at Laurel Park with a shorter stretch run! 👀

We will be keeping an eye on favorites Taj Mahal (undefeated at Laurel Park, but stuck with unlucky post position 1) and Incredibolt, and long-shots pedigreed The Hell We Did and well-rested gray closer Bull By The Horns! 🐎
