Oryx Hide Somali Shield, 19th c. East Africa.
Anatolian Figurine
This highly-stylised figurine of a woman comes from Early Bronze Age Anatolia (modern Turkey), between c. 3500–2000 BC. Made from Terracotta, it is hand-modelled with elaborate incised decoration.
In Anatolia, fishing villages became established at a similar time to those in the Levant. This figurine came from the city of Çatalhöyük, where many thousands of people lived in dense clusters of mud brick houses. Stone and clay figurines were a popular feature of this period, and are thought by some to have represented a 'mother-goddess'.
See it on display in Gallery 19.

@lncised
Okay, well, a couple of thoughts here:
1) Who the fuck even are you?
2) How do you know/think I’m ugly? I’ve posted zero selfies on this blog.
3) Even if I am ugly, at least I don’t have such a shitty personality that I convince myself it’s okay to come into someone’s messages and leave them shit like this.
4) What the fuck are chasers?
