and I can’t emphasize enough that Lando broadcasts everything on his face, has a critical lack of filter and can’t lie to save his life. we’ve literally seen every phase of him learning and adjusting and growing in affection for Oscar while Oscar patiently waited and indulged Lando still missing his former teammates.

so if Lando’s bubbling over with verbal praise and pride in Oscar and saying that Oscar’s a huge part of Lando reaching the WDC and being the driver he is today then that means everything Oscar does besides gush in a similar way in interviews is exactly what Lando wants !!

(and it’s why Oscar’s so much better at expressing those things verbally to camera when Lando’s there to help him out)

also we’ve seen the kisses and hugs Oscar does with Lily and the “a little cuddle” and “with yknow s-someone you love” this man can express love for the ppl close to him in many MANY ways except PDA and public speaking and all of those ppl are perfectly fine w it <3

anyway just look at the kitten bonding that happened these two show each other love just fine
