WE ARE BACK IN BUSINESS!!!!!! hey everyone! I just wanted to write a few things here, because I've been keeping this information offline for months, and now that the comic is back up and running again, I can finally reveal some stuff! First things first, I am now working with Inbeon Studios! inbeon.com/ I owe a HUGE thank you to Eric Hutchison for telling me what to fix and change throughout the process of making this. YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN THE ORIGINAL VERSION. IT WAS. A MESS. We're aiming to have physical copies printed, and the first ten pages are going to be available as a sampler sometime soon! I absolutely love these guys and the other artists and comics available on their site are seriously great. I'm stoked to be a part of the team. :D Shadowbound's title is being changed. I named it after a Savage Messiah song back in 2015, and because it was only a fan comic, I never felt the need to search up if that title was taken or not because it wasn't anything serious. WELL, it turns out that there's at least ELEVEN books named Shadowbound, an RPG, and even a TV mini series...which also has a steampunk/victorian vibe to it, sooooooo :’) It's only going to be a slight change, as I want to keep the logo I made and just play around with different words. I might make a poll over on dA or Instagram with a few alternate title ideas and have you guys vote on which one you like the best. For now I will still use Shadowbound as a test title. The comic will update once every Sunday. (sometimes twice if it’s one of those ONE-PANEL COCK-BLOCKS SO YEE.) I've been considering opening a Patreon in the near future, which will grant early access to the comic pages so that patrons will be able to read ahead. I was also considering exclusive Picarto streams where I work on each of the new pages, early access to concept art, WIPs, and demos for my music. However, I am not comfortable with keeping any of my content Patreon-locked. I want everything to be fully available to the public, free of charge, so Patreon will be for early access only. I've never done Patreon before and not entirely sure how it works, so let me know what you guys think about this! It seems like it could be fun. The story has undergone some drastic changes, but certain scenes, events and dialogue will be recycled from the old comic. All of the main characters are pretty much the same as they were in the old comic, save for a few minor design tweaks. We will also be meeting new and exciting characters as well, like Stunt Man #2. A classic. This comic will be GRAPHIC in some areas, mainly with body horror, gore, and...the occasional butt sculpture. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) All pages will be appropriately tagged!
I will now be including a transcript for every page, for those of you who need it! :) Lastly, I owe a huge thank you to EVERYONE who pitched in with advice, feedback, critique, and overall support throughout the old comic and the rewriting process. I'd especially like to give a huge shout out to Sudden-Paws who is an ABSOLUTE GENIUS when it comes to story telling. She offered a buttload of ideas and suggestions and helped me brainstorm to tie up a TON of loose ends. :D @mechanicalanakal and Myianart were a big help with character designs and brainstorming as well. Shroomworld387 has pitched in with a ton of feedback and analysis on my work which has been a huge motivator for me along the way. And for those of you who follow my work and read the comics, even if you don't comment and just silently follow along --it means the world to me, seriously. I can't promise it'll be perfect, but I'm gonna try my best to make this as LITTLE of a dumpster fire as physically possible. ^^; TRANSCRIPT: The scene opens to a large, crooked house on a hill. There is a long, dead tree spiraling around its exterior, and the pale moon glimmers over the dark and dreary forest, all trees blackened and barren. What appears to be some kind of modified Model-T speeds up the stone path leading up the hill towards the porch and garage, leaving a trail of dirt and dust behind it. The vehicle comes to a SCREECHing halt in front of the garage, and we get a view of the ground where the front door opens and an unidentified person, wearing a rather dapper pair of dress shoes, steps out.
