#in between classes

So you have time in between classes. What to do?

1: Go to the library- write up your notes whilst you still remember what they mean.

2: Go get some lunch.

3: Call a friend or family member.

4: Write a blog post.

5: Read a book.

6: Catch up on a tv series.

7: Get to know someone on your course.

8: Do some window shopping.

9: Get to know the area your university is in. 

I have some down time between my class so I decided to take a break from working on my research assignment to write out some stuff. Writing feelings and thoughts down is a really great way to process our lives. So I am processing my day. Currently, I have about a half hour to waste before my next class. I am watching the TheDeFrancoFam vlog that was posted today while I type this.

This morning was my first counseling session on campus. I was looking forward to it so much. I had to wait two weeks to have a real session with my counselor, which will be a regular thing. The school can only offer bi-monthly sessions to students because of the ridiculously high demand for counseling and the limited number of counselors employed by the school. I have done counseling before, and I absolutely love it. I love talking out my life to process it, figure things out, and handle any stress going on in my life. When I did it during my undergrad, the counselors I had were amazing and supportive and just overall made my experiences with counseling spectacular. Today, my new counselor suggested that in the time between our sessions, writing down how I feel would be a way to process things. I love being able to tell him that I already have that process in place in my life. One thing that my previous counselors never did was give me “homework”. That is probably because I saw them weekly and that made it more difficult to fill in the space between sessions with helpful things that would enable the next session to be able to pick up where the previous one left off.
