huh i was doing a little googling and came across something where (TW)Â the thisisasianprivilege tumblr blog was used to bolster an antiblack point in a white supremacist forum. ETA: here's a link to a screenshot of the page w/ a transcript of the text, if you don't wanna visit the site.
reminder: thisisasianprivilege/the blogger behind thisisasianprivilege, who at one poin went by trim-dream-panda is the one who admitted to attacking Riley (a Black genderqueer blogger) to get more hits for their blog
and i remember before that, there was a post trim-dream-panda made where they actually called Riley a "manical BEAST-thing," like, do we really need to go into why it's a problem to compare Black people to animals, and to de-gender an Black AFAB person in this way psecifically?
(and notice imsoopalled (then ramennoodlesstoodles) defends them then, too. she behaved in an abusive manner from the beginning.)
this is what we mean when we say omgstopbeingashittyperson, non-Black POC and Black folks who behave in this manner, as well as white folks who have no formal ties to supremacist organizations are white supremacists, or support white supremacists. it's not about having a klan-issued set of robes under your bed, it's about holding specific views about Black people that result in or bolster the constant onslaught of violence against us. it's saying or implying that "whatever you do to these people is justified and you won't be held accountable for doing it, in fact you will more than likely be lauded."Â
even if the majority of omgstop's/alostbird's targets weren't Black and queer and genderqueer (and the white ones she targeted were mostly trans women, rarely has a cishetero white male made it onto omgstop), it IS a fact that more of a few of their "callout posts," including ones that have pics of people's mothers and email addresses in them, have circulated heavily throughout the formal white supremacist side of tumblr (the same side that originated the term "social justice warrior," fyi) and alostbird has made no attempt to stop it, address it or even express concern.
(also, it's worth noting that alostbird has never once posted a pic of herself, so we really only have her word that she's even Black. at this point i question that sincerely, but it is what it is).
tl;dr, it's not at all a stretch to apply the term "white supremacist" to omgstopbeingashittyperson/alostbird as her/their actions, as well as the people they defend and the positions they take, overlap heavily with those who do openly espouse white supremacist beliefs.
