This one is a fic where instead of going to normal public schools, all the school age characters attend Hawkins Academy, a very pretentious and very expensive private school. Billy & Max, as well as a few others, are there on scholarships.

It's not the most planned out right now, and most of what i have so far is just born from a desire to put Billy and Max into fish out of water type situations where they get to be baffled and exasperated with rich people. And also liking the whole, "academia" aesthetic. xD

Here's a snippet from Billy and Max's first day:

Billy loves his camaro. All the money, time, and effort he has sunk into restoring and maintaining it is evidence of that. At his old school, his car had always been one of the nicest in the student parking lot, and Billy had taken a lot of pride in that. He’d known better than to expect that to be the case here, but this… This is ridiculous. He’s pretty sure at least half of these cars cost more than their house.

I didn't find the word live! But I found lives, which isn't the same at all, but

Guys like Steve get tired of Billy real fast, go back to their girlfriends and their straight laced preppy lives like they never sucked dick, and Billy’s left in the dust.

I have a certain fondness for tattoo artist and florist AUs but truthfully, I probably would never write one.

What I really think about is a record store, Steve, who moves in next to a bookstore, Billy. They are diametrically opposed. The bookstore needs to be quiet so patrons can read. The record store needs to show their wares by playing music!

They absolutely do not get along. Billy wants the music turned down, Steve thinks it's fine that the music is playing outside his store.

After weeks of arguing back and forth, Steve finally starts selecting music that is a little more conducive to reading. And Billy relents, by advertising that quiet tables are only found inside.

And they bond over the coffee shop across the street that serves great coffee but only plays random records they buy from Steve's $5 bin, which is run by Robin.

Anyway... facts! I know some people don’t care for 'em, and the duffers like to play fast and loose with 'em anyway but I like 'em!

Yeah i never know where anyone in fandom gets these ideas or how so many of them start believing so strongly in them.

Tbh i don't generally care how old Chrissy is in most fics, it's only in this case (an accidental pregnancy au) that I'm particularly interested in the possibility of a slightly larger age gap. Because it'd just add more potential flavor/complexity/conflict to the situation if she was younger and not already a legal adult/almost a legal adult.

I get that that's not everyone's cup of tea and I would never suggest that everyone should enjoy the things I enjoy but I just wish people would stop trying to get me to stop enjoying the things I enjoy just because they don't like it.
