A figure in a long purple cloak made of silk, adorned with flower patterns, approaches the Emperor. With the faint scent of mist and flowers around the being, a porcelain fox mask covering their face and the cloak concealing their entire form, not much can be discerned besides the figure being royalty of some kind. His manner of speaking is strange, the being speaking in several different languages before finding one that is understandable to the Roman leader.
'' ...Greetings? ''
< @imperator-solitarius >
Gaius raised one eyebrow as the figure emerged, swathed in violet silk. The scent of flowers stirred something old and dreamlike in his memoryβan afternoon in a palace garden, perhaps, long before the Senate turned sour. He tilted his head slightly, observing the porcelain fox mask with quiet fascination.
The figureβs tongue danced through different languagesβGaius caught traces of Greek, maybe Egyptian?βbefore settling into something more familiar.
Gaius stepped forward, graceful as a cat, his green eyes gleaming with curiosity and delight. βAh.β He said with a soft smile, brushing back a curl of orange hair from his brow. βI greet you.β He circled the figure slowly, hands clasped behind his back.
βYou smell like a spring. And your maskβcharming. But I wonderβ¦β He leaned in just slightly, his voice dropping to a whisper. ββ¦does it hide a face or a lie?β
He straightened up, his tone suddenly lighter, as though the mystery delighted him rather than troubled him. βI am Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus Germanicus.β He extended a pale, slender hand, wrist marked faintly with old scratches. βEmperor of Rome, Father of the Nation, Supreme Commander of the Legions. And you, fox-maskβ¦ what should I call you?β He smiled wide, lips curling in amusement. βOr shall I invent a name for you?β
