its just, why would you want your understanding of 'empowerment' to rely on what a man would think about your 'empowered' behavior if you were another man? ok ill remember that the next time a female cop assaults or murders someone. men can respect that, so if that cop finds her position empowering, it is, right?? so imo that whole deal is pointless... 'what men respect' is worthless and that way of thinking about 'empowerment' is how we end up with 'empowering' stories of how a woman operates drones to murder women in other countries (men would respect that too). i think the post im referring to has to do with like, wearing makeup and stuff but again the reason that's not 'empowering' is because of the relationship to other women because you don't have that power without other women not having it. not because men wouldn't respect a man in makeup (which isn't exactly true anyway, what they don't respect is gnc men and trans women, regardless of if they wear makeup or dress a certain way; meanwhile have u heard of guyliner, eyeliner for Men, or like... any famous pop punk band lol)
