I ship Hanch and Daniella. Only thing they have in common is their respective games, "Drakengard 2" and "Haunting Ground", being on PS2. You can't go further, than that, lol.

But in all seriousness: while everything depends on the characters shipped, I like rarepairs in general. And canon is just a suggestion. 💜

I'm an established relationship bitch, both in writing and reading. However, I do not hate, when the characters are falling in love over the course of the story, doesn't matter, where they started (although I'm slightly leaning towards friends). It all depends on the fic and what happens besides it. It's a sweet and funny story with a happy ending? Sure, why not! There's a lot of pining? Um, nope. Miscommunication? Heh. I'm out. Immediately.

And omegaverse gets

Couple of years ago, this would probably get A, but with time I lost a bit of interest – not because of omegaverse itself, though, but because it's often accompanied by stuff I stopped liking. Now I'm here mainly for mpreg and because sometimes it's only way to get cuntboys in the fandom... Although I have to admit, I really like the ideas of scents and power imbalance. These are cool. ^^

I have a "canon is just a suggestion" mindset as a writer and it bleeds into my reading habits, too. There are events I don't like in canon of certain media and will avoid fics addressing them like plague. The rest? If it's compliant, cool, if not, also cool, I don't care much.
