It was an early morning and the sun still wasn’t shining. It wasn’t unusual for Todoroki wasn’t to be up this early in the morning. He left his room and made it into the living room. He looked around and saw Fuyumi and Natsuo were up and excited. His sister walked up to him, giving him his hakamashite. She gave him a bit of help when changing.

Todoroki didn’t need to leave until a little before ten in the morning. He sat in his living room, listening to his older sister and brother. They talked about how proud they were for their little brother. He finally was an adult. He looked out the window. It was starting to snow.

Bakugo woke up and looked at the calendar. It was the second Monday of January. It was Seijin no Hi or Coming of Age Day. He walked into living room, fully dressed in his tuxedo. His mom had a smile on her face. She was happy and proud of him. He was finally becoming an adult.

Him and his parents drove to Tokyo. There were so many people crowded in one place. There were food stands, photographers, news stations and some musicians. He was a little irritated by the photographers that were taking pictures. His temper has calmed down over the years, but this wasn’t helping. Especially not when people are asking him about the sludge monster.

Before he could say anything, the photographers left. He took in deep breathes to help calm himself down. He heard people starting to shriek. He could hear them scream “it’s the Todoroki’s.” He sighed. One of the only people who could beat him in fight was here.

It had finally been the time to leave. His siblings were the ones to escort him to the event. He didn’t want his father to come. The three of them looked around, but didn’t get much time to do so. Many news stations and photographers started to close in on him and his siblings.

Shoto sighed as a horde of photographers enclosed him and his siblings. He didn’t want to take pictures, but he doesn’t have much of a choice so he stood there while a million flashes enccapsulated him. Luckily, his brother and sister were able to shoo them away and he was able to go free. He walked around before finding a place to stand. He stood next to Bakugo. He was a little grumpy, but that wasn’t something new.

“Stand somewhere else, Icy Hot.” Bakugo grumbled.

“Someone is a little grumpy.” Todoroki said.

“I’m perfectly fine.”

Shoto kept a straight face. They both knew he was lying.

Before Bakugo could say anything, some elected officials showed up and started to talk. Bakugo growled and gave his attention to them. They talked about their futures now that they were twenty and adults. They were reminding them of their responsibilities as heroes, their responsibilities as civilians. They now are able to drinking, voting, driving, and a couple of other things.

After the speeches, the two listened to some music, they took some pictures with their families, friends, and each other. They had a couple of interviews from a few different news stations.

“What are your plans?” Todoroki asked.

“Wouldn’t you like to know.” Bakugo replied.

“If you have nothing to do, we can do something together.”

“What?! No!”

“Very well.”

Todoroki started to walk away.

“Wait!” Bakugo sighed. He took a deep breath in and exhaled. “What are your plans?”

“I will be going to see my mother later today.”

Bakugo didn’t say anything.

“It won’t be for a while. My brother and sister want to celebrate with a couple friends before we go. If you want to hang out, we can.”

Todoroki started to walk away and Bakugo followed him. They made it back to to Todoroki’s place. Bakugo had forgotten how big his house was. It was only befitting for the Number One’s stature. Bakugo sat under the kotatsu while Todoroki and his siblings went into the kitchen. Todoroki grabbed couple of glasses and a bottle of alcohol. He gave him a glassed and filled it up. He sat a cross him.

“That’s...stronger than I imagined.” Shoto said, taking a drink.

“It’s still goo.” Bakugo said, licking the alcohol off his lips.

The two sat in silence.

It wasn’t long before one of them suggested to go to the beach. The two walked along the shore of the beach of where Bakugo lives. Todoroki stopped and looked straight in front of him. He let the cold water hit his ankles. The cold water didn’t bug him. He was used to the cold. Bakugo walked up to him and wrapping his arm around his shoulder.

The two stood in the water in silence. It wasn’t long before Todoroki got a small idea. He walked around, trying to find wood. Bakugo gave him a bit of help. The two put the wood in a small pile and Todoroki lit it on fire. Bakugo and Todoroki sat close together, feeling the heat off of it. The sun started to set.

“It’s getting late. You should go.” Bakugo said.

“I wouldn’t worry about that.” Todoroki said.

“Why is that?”

“I texted my mom saying that I wouldn’t make it. She understands.”

Bakugo smiled.

The two sat in silence again, watching the sun set on the horizon. The stars started to shine bright.

“The stars are shinning brightly tonight.” Todoroki said.

“Yeah. I think this is the brightest that they have shined.” Bakugo agreed.

Todoroki laid flat on his back to fully gaze up at the stars and Bakugo did the same.

“Have you thought about the future?” Todoroki asked reaching for the stars.

“What kind of stupid question is that?!” Bakugo replied. “Of course I have!”

“What would that be?”

“To become what I set out to be; a hero.”

“Would you mind if I be by your side?”

Bakugo lifted up his hand an intertwined it with his. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
