My mum bought sunflowers for my room to make quarantine a bit more tolerable. I love her
[Image Description: five sunflowers in a hand-crafted green and purple glass vase. The sunflowers are big and healthy with their bright yellow petals. The desk the vase is sitting on also has a few other decorative Knick-knacks, including two candles, a weathered red box with the words “tea box” painted on, two Christmas tree figurines, one is white and the other green, and finally another and much smaller hand crafted glass vase with blue ocean wave details, and a fabric pink rose inside. The walls behind are a deep, vibrant blue. End Image Description]
My Last Project
In my last semester at university I did a work placement at a day hospice running Art and Craft classes once a week.
The project took place over several weeks. We were a group size varrying from 5 to 12 and started by picking a theme. We landed on ‘Fish’ inspired by the Saint Wilfred the saint of fisherman.
Over the course of these several weeks we used different materials and techniques to make fish themed crafts. We used techniques such as texturing tinfoil, etching into acetate, sculpting and beading wire, experimenting with glass paints and many more.
At the end of our time together we as a group decorated an area of the Hospice and had an opening/ exhibition celebration.
