I've been viciously reading webtoons and comics recently, and have some interesting things I want to share, principally when talking about dark stories with sexual content. - These kind of stories have a problem with retaining public, right? For Im|mortal, there's 3.6m of viewers, however, only 3.2k viewed the last chapter. It's funny see this happening, bc there's this kind of general belief that those dark +18 stories would appeal to a lot of people, which they do, but only to a certain period. Does it happen bc authors can't balance the general content, making it too dark? Or is it a characteristic this genre can't escape? Dunno, I can't ignore that some books with really dark content as Captive Prince has a expressive fanbase, for example.
- Something I want to share that really makes sense to me: those stories talk about some aspects of life that I can't see in, let's say, family friendly stories, even though these aspects usually happen in our daily lifes and are in our everyday fears. We do not have characters with similar struggles, that are afraid of getting out in the dark, etc. Those themes aren't even remotely addressed. So seeing a story that doesn't feel shy to not only discuss it, but also showing it happening and discuss feelings related to these themes, is interesting. - Also: why do we have to go so deep to find these stories, if it is something so many people relate to? I often see people describing those kind of stories as guilty pleasure. We usually shame these books, and it's significant the amout of pressure to keep these stories hidden, but why does it happen and when it actually started? As someone who already traveled to Japan, I can say it: this doesn't happen in the whole world.
That's all I wanted to address for now. Does anyone have something interesting to say about it? Also, I'm open to corrections: english is not my first language.

I’ve asked my friend if I should post a meme art first or a serious drawing that I have been working on. And she said to post the meme, just for the giggles. So here you go. Thank you for your attention.
(It is fascinating how different my serious and meme art styles are.)
As always, shout out to @koriandr-art for this amazing fandom.
