Fun Swedish history lesson because i hyperfixate on my culture sometimes and also one person in a comment somewhere said the aesthetic doesn’t make sense so now i have to rant
Most of the new Silverglade village houses I think are inspired by klassicismen, or Swedish Grace which was an architectural style that rose to fame in 1920 in Sweden. Big, colorful buildings, usually out of wood, with clear geometrical shapes and corners that are either white or another complimentary color. The red buildings with white corners date back even further, as they have been a staple of swedish homes since the 1800′s. (Technically 1600, but that was only for wealthy people)
I doubt SSE would care this much about their village layout, but it’s possible that the red houses with white corners are older than the rest of the buildings in the village. In a lot of towns in sweden, but especially in the country, you will find red houses with white corners that are older than most other buildings nearby, which is a nice touch.

i made a Smaug Costume even. i cut out a dragon face from cardboard and glued a toilet paper tube to the front for a snout, and i taped a big sheet of red paper to the back of it which covered me when i laid down holding the mask near my face with a popsicle stick handle. i also crumpled up some more red paper pieces and put them in the snout tube so i could blow them out for "fire"
