I love games, but I'm not very good at playing them
Weird huh? For me not so much.
For as long as I can remember (of course specific games not included which I'll go into a little later) I've been VERY bad at playing games, I think this is mainly because of growing up just watching things, something playing a game just feels like too much effort, especially when you get stuck on a level that you can't seem to get past. I've had many experiences with this and it has caused me to stop playing a certain game, for example one of my earliest memories was playing the first Tomb Raider and getting stuck on a water level, if I get truly stuck, I do not have the motivation to continue, it becomes less fun for me if I can't get past a challenge and it's just frustrating.
I know quite a lot of people who relish in this kind of challenge, my fiance is one of them! He's extremely good at difficult puzzles and stealth games, I just couldnβt do it, but I love watching him do it. This is why I've always enjoyed watching let's plays on YouTube, it's much more fun for me to see the story being played out by someone else rather than me playing it in twice the time and getting frustrated at the difficult levels and quitting half way through. There are SO many games that I've gotten half way through and never finished, it really is a shame because i miss out on the experience of playing them, so sometimes I feel bad that I can never finish.
Something I have noticed about newer games is that they offer an extremely easy version, for example Persona 5. I've been playing P5 for about 7 hours and I can honestly say that I'm loving it! It seems perfect for someone like me and I'll tell you why:
1: Like I mentioned before, it offers an extremely easy version where you can play for the story without getting too bogged down. This is so brilliant for me and it actually motivates me to play and progress. 2: Persona 5 is an RPG which scares me slightly, whenever I've tried to play a Final Fantasy game I haven't been able to understand the turn-by-turn gameplay mechanic, died then stopped playing, it really is a shame. Persona 5 gives ALOT of information about how to play the game but it takes you through it one step at a time, this is something I really appreciate, it's taken a good amount of time but I've appreciated the hints and tips, it's helped me understand how to play and it's frickinβ great.
I also played Rise of the Tomb Raider recently and that also gives an easy version that I can play for the story! It makes me so happy that I can finally play through these stories without having to worry too much.Β
I'm so happy I can finally experience these and now I want to buy and play more, it's just that they're so expensive!
P.S/ I hope you like the drawing! I feel like Iβm getting better at the inking but still have a way to go! :)Β
Finished garden story again! I canβt believe I forgot what happened. The garden story is great, bitter sweet in a way. Still fulfilling!
While I was out and about with my better half this evening, I picked up the new Dragonlance adventure book. It has easily been 30 years since I've last bought a core game book - time to revisit the inhabitants of Krynn. #nerdlyfe #dragonlance #popculture #rollforinitiative #ilovegames https://www.instagram.com/p/Cnn7TlfscIw/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
"It's the years, honey. It's the mileage." - Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) Friends, I get some good natured ribbing from my coworkers at the theater for my love of Fortnite... but it's the only game I know where I just unlocked an Indiana Jones outfit while playing as the Predator and winning the match by defeating Batman. Closest I can get to living Ready Player One at the moment! #indianajones #nerdlyfe #ilovemovies #ilovegames #popculture #readyplayerone #fortnite https://www.instagram.com/p/CggOMCwMIt4/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
