She didnāt like being out of the apartment any more than necessary, but she supposes if sheās going to make a begrudging compromise, sheāll at least pick a place where it was common courtesy to keep to oneself and keep noises to a minimum. She doesnāt have quite as much as she usually does to occupy her attention, nor does she have Sojiroās sympathy ( and wallet ) to enable her into buying things on whim. Sure, a hacker like her definitely knows where to find just about anything online, but thereās something about having it physically in her hands that made it hard for her to find herself satisfied with having things digitally, for once.
Reading wasnāt a habit she took up often, if only because sometimes it got so boring and sometimes hard to hold her attention, and besidesā when you can remember every little detail, thereās only so much joy rereading ( reexperiencing things in general ) can bring you. Sure, her choice in reading might be a little childish, arguably, but she doesnāt really care about things like that ( maybe ).
Which brings her to her current circumstances. Sure, an easier solution would probably be to settle for finding something else to read, but, well, what can she say. Title had caught her attention as worth reading and itās just gone downhill from there, given that she canāt reach it. Sheās sure thereās gotta be some kind of ladder around...a stepstool of some sort, maybe, if she looked around now, but maybe itād be quicker to climb up the bookcase...? Or, uh, maybe she could make some kind of step for herself with the books? Voice from behind her speaks up, and she jolts, posture straightening stiffly as she glances up towards stranger.Ā āH-Huh? I, er...ā Gaze flickers between person and bookshelf for a brief moment, nervously. She could ask for help, butā āIām still making up my mind. Hahaha, yep! Iām just fine here.ā
