Two miscellaneous facts comin atcha!!!
• Rowan doesn’t use her original name any more, as part of her whole getting away from being identified as a firstborn thing. Her original name was illucidae before she went off to start the Soundless with a few saplings!
• illuminesce was born while the pale tree was still gravely injured by the shadow of mordremoth. As a result, she emerged lacking many nutrients in her body and was premature. She has a natural habit of pulling the energy out of whomever she touches, and avoids this by just Not touching anyone except the minions she summons for the sole purpose of helping her survive. Her staff also doubles as a walking stick!

(as a reply to that headcanon post about male/female Eliksni) It could be that female Eliksni were being protected from the battlefront in order to produce more young to then send into battle, or that they usually wouldn't train as well as males, also that the males are usually larger/tougher in most species, a few females here and there could size up to males and go through training, but.. what do I know lmao
Well, there are some female eliksni in-game and when we do see them, they seem the same size/use the same models as the males do, even down to having the same deep voice used. So as far as we're aware, they don't have any differences or any good reason to be held back from fighting.
Plus, a female eliksni was one of the rivals for Skolas, and almost became the Kell of Wolves at one point so I don't think there's much reason to think that they're smaller/weaker/only used for babies when the examples of female eliksni that are in-game are warriors and fighters just like the males.
Even putting my own headcanons aside (that any eliksni can reproduce) I would hate to think that BS stereotypes of gender apply to the eliksni considering that their whole race is based around war and fighting for the most part.
If given the option without complete lore -- I'd like to think that the females are rarer instead of giving into the idea that being female instantly makes you weaker and less valuable as a warrior.
