Are we only on the 4th chapter of ‘It Lives Beneath’? Yes

Mc’s grandpa killed mc’s parents, lied about it, took mc and Elliot into his house, got angry at mc for leaving at night, almost killed Ned (Who is actually dead but a rock monster shapeshifted into his form so we’d believe he’s alive again) and saved mc’s life, pretended to be just a member of the society and then turns out to be part of a more secret inner circle cult within the first cult that murdered his own daughter and her husband leaving his grandchildren orphans all so that he could have more power and he was then arrested for conspiracy to commit murder by another cult member who’s also the police chief and a supposed good guy but it turns out the entire cult was actually criminal and they are now in the middle of attempting to sacrifice mc to a lake ghost (I have no idea if the cult is now against the ghost or on its side?) The members of the cult have also thrown Parker and Danni overboard into the ghosts domain and threatened to do the same to Tom unless mc said she was cool with them killing her, Elliot is still with the ghost and we don’t know if he’s okay, they’re are fucking dead animals attacking everyone in town, Robbie is with someone from the cult who I’m assuming is also really a bad guy (I also guess his dad wasn’t actually arrested then) Imogens joined the cult, gained powers, watched her horse sacrifice himself to save her and then realized her parents really were murders for the second time and now I dunno if our grandpa really had a part in killing mc’s parents or wat.
