Reposted from @ilimanator Yes, I lost. And in doing so, I also lost the belt. But honestly, I was more grateful to be able to fight than I was bummed. There were so many variables working against this fight that in the back of my head I had this dreaded feeling that it wasn’t going to happen. The international travel, the multiple rounds of covid tests we needed to pass, cutting weight by myself cause my corners had to quarantine, even up to the day of the fight when I took the required pregnancy test and the commission guy couldn’t read it...THIS IS HOW THE FIGHT GETS CANCELLED?!?! 😂 (it was negative). People have a lot to say about me losing. But at the end of the day, I was so so so grateful to even be able to fight. To be able to make a paycheck to take care of my family, pay my late bills and rescue more dogs. To be able to breath a sigh of relief as we close out 2020, something that not everyone can do unfortunately. Losing a fight ain’t shit compared to what others lost this year and I recognize how privileged I am to be able to say that. So THANK YOU @bellatormma for taking care of us this year and making it happen despite the circumstances. This promotion truly is FOR THE FIGHTERS. Thank you to all of my family, friends and supporters who still had my back even though I’m no longer at the top. It’s not who’s with you when things are going good, it’s who’s with you during the fall and I know that you guys are with me for the entire ride. That includes my sponsors—my extended ‘ohana—one of the only reasons I was able to stay afloat this year is because of you guys 🙏🏽. Lastly to my team, coaches and gym family...whether it’s me or Liz, that belt is gonna come back home 😉. 2021, we readeh. #mondayvibes #allpartoftheplan #BellatorMMA #pineappleprincess #ilimanator https://www.instagram.com/p/CJXO9NeJx9s/?igshid=hji7czsoylhc
