"You mean the hyperactive kid?" He asked, turning to look at her, brows rising. Ray didn’t even like Cora, so the uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach frown, rolling his eyes. “Yeah, uh-huh. Well, how ‘bout I just give the two of you the rest of the day? Wouldn’t want you to rush your date with your boyfriend,” he said, turning back to focus on the board they had put together of all possible locations the Alphas could be hiding out.
"Don’t forget to bib him," he said with a light wave of the hand. He was not jealous and he’d punch anyone who even brought it up. “I’ve got stuff to do anyway. I’m meeting up with Scott and Allison.” It wasn’t the truth, but after a quick phone call, it would be. “Go ahead and have fun. Don’t forget to burp him after you’re done.”
Cora tilted her head, not sure why he was copping an attitude with her. "Hey, first of all, not my boyfriend. Second of all, not your business and third of all, we all need a break from this Alpha hunt at some point. If you weren't such an ass, I would've invited you." She didn't like the way he was talking to her and she wasn't going to put up with it. She rolled her eyes, "Wow. You really are a jerk. You know what? Have fun with Scott and Allison while you can. Once they see the type of person you really are, they won't want your company for long." She turned on her heel and walked out, annoyed that he had gotten under her skin.
