Digimon Fusion— Main Digimon’s Parents headcanon, part 1
(Quick warning! If you want go to the point, just go to the part that says:

If you never watched Digimon Fusion, they can have kids according to the existence of Cutemon’s parents.
I don’t know if this was a big deal back in the day (like, people saying it’s unnecessary and stuff), after all, it was already stablished how Digimon reproduce in Adventure – they don’t have parents because they don’t need to (Unless we’re talking about DNA digivolution from Digimon World 2, where you need to sacrifice two Digimon to create a new one. It’s funny how for this particular process to happen in the game, you need a lab…
Humanity tried to do something with their Digimon). (Anyway).
Whatever the main opinion of the fandom is, if it’s fine or just bad because this just makes Digimon look even more like Pokémon, it doesn’t matter. The concept died in Digimon Fusion.
As for what i think about the concept – i don’t have any feelings with the ideia itself, honestly?
It’s just, it’s there. It’s not really important. I believe it was only used to make the audience feel sorry for Cutemon, because he’s a kid who’s looking after his parents, and also give some mid emotion connection between Mervamon and Nene, as we see them relating to each other for having little siblings.
There’s also Darkknightmon and Lord Bagra being siblings, giving us the most boring “plot twist” ever.
But, i would be lying if i said that it isn’t fun to think who are the parents of the main Digimon that appear in Fusion.
I believe it’s only natural to think about it, like, what species should they be, their personalities, story, what characteristics their child inherited from them –
So, let’s begin! Finally!!!
(My Headcanons)
Shoutmon parents: Exveemon (mother) and Etemon (father).
Ear me out— EAR ME OUT.
It just makes sense to me – of course, i will explain all my thought process to came up with to both conclusions!
It’s kinda obvious why i’d choose an Etemon as Shoutmon’s dad, right? Like, come on! Both have this music theme behind them, they are singers and lovers of rock! Also, they are kings (at least, inside our hearts S2) and they’re LOUD. Really LOUD. I can totally see Shoutmon having his father’s mannerisms!
As for his mom, i always thought that Exveemon would be a cool evolution for Shoutmon. They have enough similarities– The ”V” head-shape, the white marks, having swapped colors (Veemon has Red eyes and blue skin while Shoutmon has Blue eyes and is red skin) and, of course, both being Dragons.
Just, i don’t know, it makes sense inside my head. Also, i just think it’s adorable that funny monkey man was able to reach the heart of big, strong, dragon lady, ok??
And now, i will now talk ALOT AGAIN about the characters, so be prepared – Etemon is from the Village of Smiles and although he was a very chaotic mind, he preferred to stay in the Village because of its calm nature (the chaos inside his head is enough, lol), he’s a genius, very good with projecting machines, but most of them stay on paper because his mind is already working on the next big project (he also would be the one that fixed Ballistamon instead of Shoutmon). He has a sense of duty in the Village; he was born there, he will die there, he wants to help those people with his creations, and that upsets Shoutmon’s mom, because she really wanted him to be something bigger in the city (and she thinks he’s using the village as a excuse.). He kinda doesn’t have those grandiose dreams of being famous or rich. He used to, when he was younger, but he just… stoped.
He prefers the simple life now and he thinks he’s too old to have new adventures outside his birthplace anyway.
Meanwhile, Exveemon always thinks big, and always wants more to her life. She lives in the capital of the Forest Zone (i’m also making the place bigger and having a city, more villages etc), and she’s a captain that protects the city with her squad. Shoutmon is under her wing, and when the capital was attacked by the Bagra’s army, she had sent Shoutmon far away, to the Village of smiles.
She’s Shoutmon greatest inspiration, someone that is always striving for her dreams no matter what and is the toughest person he has ever met!
He was devastated when he learned her mother was missing after the invasion, but he bottled it up because his mom always was strong and he needs to achieve that. She had no vulnerabilities (he thinks that and it’s obviously not true), so he will “man up”.
Shoutmon also thinks his father is a fucking loser. (Exveemon never called her ex that. She explained to Shoutmon why they’re separated – she had bigger dreams for them and he didn’t want to follow those, and she didn’t want to stay with him with a simple lifestyle. They moved too fast with their relationship, and then noticed they had different plans for the future, that wouldn’t work out between them in the end and then separated. They have a good relationship until this day though, and Etemon tries to keep in contact with Shoutmon sending him emails… but Shoutmon thinks his dad is a dumbass and fuck him. They never needed him for anything, so why now?)
(I think that’s it, lol lol lol. Maybe i will draw those two in the future and explore their character more.)

Dorulumon parents: Drimogemon (Mother) and Devidramon (Father)
At first sight, this may look a little weird, but! I wanted Digimon that appeared in Bagra’s army.
Also, i imagine Dorulumon’s Rookie being Gazimon, which is the same Rookie form his father was – and the reason he evolved to Dorulumon, was because his mother had Gabbumon’s data in her (because she was a Gabbumon), and passed it to Dorulumon, and that’s why he could evolve to a wolf-like champion form.
(I hope this makes sense somehow.)
(It’s like, normally Gazimon wouldn’t evolve to Dorulumon, but how his mother had Gabbumon’s data, and Gabbumon can digivolve to Dorulumon, he could then.)
Not much about them as parents. They were part of Bagra’s army, they had Dorulumon and then, when Dorulumon was a little older, he joined the army, just like his parents did at his age. Years of propaganda, passed to generation to generation, then, Dorulumon learned the truth and began to hate Lord Bagra.

Bastemon, (Knightmon and Pawnchesmons) parents: (Male)Bastemon and Queen Chessmon
This one was tricky. We see her father in the form of a statue in the show! But at the same time, he doesn’t really exist, as there isn’t any official name for him or a concept art showing his colors – but i think he could be called Maahesmon, after the Warrior God Maahes, that has the head-shape of a lion and is a warrior (it would be kinda ironic though. The Goddess Bastet is mother of Maahes, and here it’s the other way around… i don’t know. If someone thinks of a better name, i will put) (or maybe i can change his species to Achillesmon).
Now for why i put Queen Chessmon as her mother, is because i needed to explain why Bastemon is a princess and why her kingdom is made of toy Digimon. I mean, having a chess piece as a mom and inherit her kingdom that is composed by toys citizens does make sense, right??
Also, yes, i made Knightmon and the Pawnchessmons her siblings, cuz why not?? If her mom is a Queen Chessmon, then let’s use the opportunity to also make the others her siblings! It’s a cute odd family.
Their family story is very basic – their mother married the hero that saved their Grandpa’s kingdom. The catch is, although their mother was grateful for him saving the kingdom, she didn’t fall over heels for him, yet. He was welcome to visit the palace as he wished and talk to the royal family when he needed something – and with each visit their relationship would become stronger and then they married after really knowing each other and seeing something behold the “hero” and the “princess” part of their significant half.
Bastemon is the first born, Knightmon the second and then the octuplets (that poor woman).
Bastemon is currently in order of the kingdom since their parents disappeared, and since her mother is not there anymore to bother her with lessons, she do whatever she wants and just sleep all day-long. (Bastemon doesn’t really like being a princess, it’s boring, so she ignores her duties and sleep. She also fantasies a lot about romances! She wants to have the same love story her mother had – a knight in shining armor saving her kingdom and she falls in love and then they scape and live happily together) (also, here Bastemon is not in love with Mikey, but another Digimon. Here she would think Mikey is just a soldier for this Digimon, not the general of an army.) (but I will talk about this another day.) (i wanted to add some Digimon to the story, because i’m writing a rewrite of Fusion.)

Beelzemon biological/other parents and adoptive father: Skull Meramon and Lady Devimon
Skull Meramon being his other parent because we can all agree Angemon would be his true Dad, lol.
Nothing to say about them, after all, Beelzemon was under Angemon’s wing since he was a Impmon, and he also blocked all the memories he had of his biological “parents”.

Ignitemon parents: Fumamon and Magna Kidmon
(I don’t believe Mervamon is really his sister – she’s an Olympus and he’s not, so i believe they just call each other siblings because they have a very like sibling relationship.)
This one was rough, but i think i did a good choice because this would explain why he has two shurikens (Fumamon is a ninja) and his dragon-like appearance (Magna Kidmon is a dragon man. Also, some people tend to put him as Ignetemon’s ultimate, so why not?)
I think their story is that they tried to kill each other and then fallen in love, LOL. She was aired to kill him, he thought she was kinda cute and then things happened.
I don’t know how Ignitemon ended up under Mervamon’s care yet.

This was literally just me brainstorming random stuff that no one cares about.
