False Evidence || Ignacio and León
@cxncordia
Ignacio, through written message: “I have been looking for you all day. When you are ready come to the inn, I shall be waiting because I have new leads.”
León’s finger hesitated over one of the words as he tried to unravel what the note said. But there was no stopping him once he realised what it said.
When he first met his contact, he’d been paranoid. But now he jumped whenever Ignacio called. Today it had to wait because of his shift at work but the moment he read the note he was out of the door and on. His way to the inn.
The place was busy. Alcohol soaked men elbowed their way around the bar and León had to duck and weave between them to finally find Ignacio’s usual table. He made sure to grab a bottle of the good stuff (or the best stuff León could afford on his pay) before sitting heavily opposite Ignacio.
He opened the bottle before even greeting the man, topping up both of their cups as he vibrated with anticipation. ‘I thought you forgot about me.’ He tried to shove the cork back into the bottle and pushed the cup to Ignacio.
Now León was opposite him, he could relax a little. Ignacio hadn’t decided to cancel the meeting and they were one step closer to uncloaking Sparrow’s killers and sheathing a knife in those bastards’ backs. ‘So? Do you have more evidence? The weapon?’
