I GET DEEP

If I don’t seem “myself” for a while 👉🏼 It’s the death of an era. I’m in mourning for the loss of the life I thought with my whole heart I’d lead. The loss of many other things, and it’s always terribly harder when it’s not your doing and it’s out of your hands completely. But so it goes, life isn’t fair and time is a cruel mistress, and sometimes people walk away when you feel in your deepest knowing soul they were meant to always walk beside you. And yet they drive off willingly, and fast. You suffer now, maybe forever, because they took a chunk of you and left you weeping; left you to tarnish while your crushed spirit seeps through the hole they left you behind with. And you’ll curse the day you met, those beautiful memories too are tarnished; the bond you built and the palace you created washed away like castles made of sand. And you’ll hope in the darkest part of you where you suffer most that they wake up one day and regret their decision and realize what they were trying to fill their void with was right there for them, in front of them, all along. It wasn’t a new house or a new thing or a new fling and you know and you hope but you know it was you. And you may never be the same, and you will be forced to craft a new self, a new being.
