“When you have the opportunity to play your music to people, I like to do it just in a room with a couple of us. I think it’s really fun so when those chances arise, I try and jump on them. Sometimes I do that too much and find myself singing eight songs at nine in the morning but I’m trying my best to do everything I would like to do.” x

“ In the recording of the songs, there’s certain things I like about music: I tend to really connect with the human element and some of my favourite moments on records are what people might think of as mistakes: I like hearing a person sliding their fingers along the strings, and I like hearing a person voice a chord in an incorrect way, or maybe there’s a little bit of a rub between notes that’s a little bit off-putting, but that’s my thing. ” ( x )
