ohhh trfl Prince Michele's POV during victor's birthday bash, bc he seemed quite smitten with yuuri?!
âHeâs coming this way,â Sara teases. Â Michele does his best to glare at her, although he canât quite muster actual irritation when theyâve just finished twirling happily across a dance floor. Â âOoh, think heâs gonna talk to you, Mickey?â
âI do not have a crush on Prince Katsuki,â he informs his sister with a haughty sniff. Â âYouâre reading too much into things.â
âOh, Mickey. Â How long are you going to live in denial?â Â She winks and laughs, and Michele rolls his eyes. Â Alright, maybe he might have a teensy-weensy little crush on the other prince, but it doesnât matter. Â He invites anyone to have a dance with a man that alluring during a rumba and not walk away with a crush! Â Besides, itâs not really a crush, not if he is quite aware itâll never go anywhere.
(Although Prince Katsuki and King Nikiforov are no longer engaged and seem to not be on the best of terms, considering that they look like theyâve been avoiding each other save for the bare minimum exchanges of courtesy, so who knows...?)
âGood evening, Your Highnesses!â Prince Katsuki says, suddenly right next to them. Â His face is a little flushed, perhaps from dancing or alcohol or both, and itâs absolutely charming, especially because Katsuki smiles at him first and not Sara. Â Michele canât really help but smile back. Â Katsuki seems an honorable man, respecting his wishes at their first ball together and being nothing but gallant when speaking to Sara. Â And, as heâs observed before, heâs not exactly hard on the eyes, either.
(This still isnât a crush. Â Hush, Sara.)
âAh, Prince Yuuri!â Michele greets, holding out his hand and receiving a firm handshake. Â If only Katsuki had come over a minute or two later! Â He wouldâve happily asked him to dance, if he wasnât still winded from his quickstep with Sara.Â
âItâs good to see you again!â his wonderful, perfect sister beams, covering for Michele when he forgets words for a moment because Katsuki smiled directly at him. Â âHow are you doing?â
âIâm doing well,â Katsuki says, running a hand through his hair distractedly. Â That shouldnât be as attractive of a movement as it is, but somehow this man manages to make everything he does beautiful. Â Michele appreciates him like one appreciates looking at a work of fine art.
Saraâs smile takes on a bit of a teasing twist, one that makes Michele want to hiss donât you dare at her even though he doesnât know what sheâs about to say. Â âPretty great! Â Mickeyâs tired out from dancing, can you believe?â
I am not, Michele is about to argue, petulant as only a big brother can be, but Prince Katsuki effectively stops him in his tracks by laughing, and then as if that wasnât enough, he catches Micheleâs eye again before firing that dazzlingly lovely little smile directly at him.Â
âWell, from what I saw,â he says, âyou two looked lovely dancing out there. Â It takes energy to be a good dancer, you know!â
Oh, Michele thinks vaguely. Â The man who is probably the worldâs best dancer thinks he and Sara looked lovely. Â Well. Â Isnât that something.
(Heâs not crushing. Â And thatâs definitely why he isnât at all miffed that by the time he gets his voice back, Sara has hauled Prince Katsuki off to the dance floor.)
(... Besides, at least from the sidelines, he gets to watch.)
