I'm white, but since I'm Jewish I'm not always considered white. This makes me provisionally white, which--since I don't "look" stereotypically Jewish and have very, very light skin--affords me a great deal of white privilege. The provisionally part of it comes in because this can be revoked at any time by white gentiles, though this happens generally much more often in Europe than in the U.S.
Generally speaking, I ID as white, and I ALWAYS have white privilege over Jews of color.

i liked it too! i was appalled at sinestro after the ep ended but when i thought about it more i liked him, like i see where hes coming from esp a creepster like that.
I kind of love Sinestro in the comics and so far I'm really liking what they're doing with him in GLTAS. He's terrible, of course but he's pretty unapologetic about it, so! I dig it. Honestly, though, I like what they've done with all the characters in GLTAS and ngl I am shocked that I like their Hal so much because I find Hal in the comics to be a total douche.

I was very surprised that they aired that scene.
me, too. I watched the ep with my brother who found nothing wrong with it and thought it was important to make it obvious that there was something up with Razer, but like. idk. I don't see why a female character had to suffer for it, like that's just not what I want to see in my cartoons. it felt unnecessary to me, really, considering at the end it didn't amount to much? I guess he wanted to distract her except that he just ended up taking the gun right in front of her and coming up with some excuse that Aya would have nevertheless believed because she trusts him? I D K. It was just WEIRD.
actually, come to think of it, given how last episode ended for Razer, I felt his behaviour in this episode was pretty weird, and almost felt like he'd taken two steps backwards, character development-wise speaking. He'd already come to terms with the fact that some of the rage he felt wasn't bad, and he seemed to be ALMOST ready to accept that he had feelings for Aya but then this episode he was suddenly super down about being a red lantern again and all NO NO NO at Aya??? I mean it would have definitely be weird to see him ACTIVELY pursue Aya because lol no but at the same time I think having him be so DOWN about it was a strange narrative choice.
