Since I have the morning off tomorrow (and because I’ve been thinking about Zack a lot lately) I’ve decided to replay CC (again) and gaaaah, a game this hurtful should not have a beginning this cute
you know what kills me? the fact that the happiest ending for trc (that is also not disappointing) is gansey dying and staying dead. like, in what world would gansey come out of dying for a second time and coming back to life and be okay. i don’t for one second believe he will be okay. like, there is no doubt his more latent mental illness will make a reoccurrence if he’s brought back (i already feel like it’s gonna make a reappearance in trk). i also feel like it would strip him down to his core because so much of his identity is focused on glendower and his quest and can you just imagine what it would feel like to be brought back to find this mythical, magical king (at the cost of a friend’s life too) only to be brought back another time, only this time there is no king to be found and your only purpose in life is gone. and no doubt that the kids are gonna be involved. lbr, who else cares abt gansey enough in this series to bring him back to life. and he’s probably going to be utterly destroyed when he finds out it was them bc he is going to see himself as nothing after glendower is gone. he’s going to wonder why they wanted this watered down, broken version of him and wonder if they really even cared about him to begin with bc they should know by now how much he was destroyed when he died the first time. only this time he’s going to feel like it’s so much worse than the first time bc he is not going to have the crutch of glendower.* and it’s gonna hurt them too bc they never meant for gansey to hurt this way, they just wanted their friend back.
and don’t even get me started on the whole gansey dying and coming back as a ghost bit bc that’s even worse than him being resurrected. honestly. that just makes me so…….sad
*i do not actually think he’s going to be worse off without glendower bc this time he’s going to actually have a support system and have these people who genuinely want him to get better and will help him through this process. this time will be different and he is going to get better. i don’t doubt this.

Today I have:
1. Nearly finished my paper
