if you’re willing
here is a user guide to cha siwoo—or rather, midas’ ken doll (accessories sold separately):
a) do not get too attached. keep your heart free from the risk of falling (god forbid). b) handle with care. don’t be deceived by his charming words and plastic smile. c) truth is, the sky is blue, the earth is round, and at the end of the day siwoo will still be fucking heartless, despite how badly you want to believe otherwise.
WARNING: use with caution, incapable of love.
after all, feelings are temporary. (and there is no point in wasting time on the fleeting.)
yet here lies exhibit #23, living proof of the above stated: kwon hyojoo. a pretty girl with a pretty heart who’d been far too foolish to have made the mistake of letting him play his game of hide and seek.
he’s not sorry. (rarely is.)
which is why after the hustle and bustle of the festival dies down, siwoo finds himself behind the glamour of it all, wandering out of the stuffy crowd and into the humid night air. he should be out kissing ass somewhere else, he knows. but tonight is not the time nor place for it, and he still ends up at some back alley near the venue of the whole concert hours after his performance.
there’s a lighter between his fingers that he mindlessly clicks on and off, flame flickering against the dark. it’s nothing more than a distraction from the stifling routine of it all, and he vaguely wonders if he should ask someone for a stick. a vice he’s hidden fairly well, he supposes. an ugly mark on how strikingly perfect he’s supposed to be.
until.
his watches as a stray soju bottle rolls and stops at his feet, an apparent lone ranger until he realises it’s part of many more—and only to look up and find the familiar figure he’s grown to know all too well.
so he pauses, takes a moment before walking up to her and plucking the green bottle from her hands. there’s really no point in pretence when he knows she’s seen siwoo for who he really is, anyway—just a wolf in sheep’s clothing, and now he isn’t so innocent after all.
“hey, long time no see, babe.” siwoo examines the bottle and frowns, faux disapproval already on his tongue. “this stuff is bad for you. what are you doing?”
so: use with caution, he warns. too bad some people don’t ever listen.
