Here’s another half-dozen poster re-workings recently completed for my Identity family. (These are for various promo purposes… I liked the idea of showing a filmography IMDB style, with thumbnail posters… but I felt the posters should prominently feature the actor…which wasn’t always the case… so time for some TuTchTing.) Five Identity superstars have been my initial focus: Letitia Wright, John Boyega, Malachi Kirby, Damson Idris and Melanie Liburd. - If you’re wondering, sometimes my adjustments are very minimal, sometimes major, but mostly in the middle somewhere. My favorite of these is “Snowfall” - LOVE this artwork! All I did was resize & change some text. . (You can find my verbose explanation and appreciation for my connection to Identity in the first comment below…. I know, I know… no one comes to IG to read. hahaha. All five are alums of the Identity School of Acting (London & the newly launched LA Branch) and are repped by Identity Agency Group. The school and agency are the brainchild (& labour of love) of uberagent/actor/director Mr. Femi Oguns, and together they’ve seamlessly combined to create a full-service, multi-award-winning, highly-focused, close-knit, Truth-producing, craft-centric, purpose-driven, galaxy-impacting collection of talented artists. THE WOMEN OF IDENTITY - EMMY NOMINATED LETITIA WRIGHT The bulk of my work is focused on young men of color but in thinking about a series of posts to celebrate the opening of IDENTITY SCHOOL of ACTING in Los Angeles I kept stumbling across headline entertainment news about the amazing women of Identity: both clients of Identity Agency Group and alumnae of the Identity School of Acting. I’ve made my love and respect known for Identity brothers @JohnBoyega @DamsonIdris and Malachi Kirby for many years but its time to turn the spotlight on the equally amazing ladies… starting today with the skyrocketing star (and everyone’s favorite Wakandan kid sister) Letitia Wright! This IDSA Alumna and patron of the school is clearly box office magic -- currently in 2 of the top 5 box office openings of all time! While I was editing a video of her work several months ago I saw lots of her early TV and film offerings in the UK and realized the true depth of her acting skills. I’m THRILLED that she now joins the ranks of Emmy Nominated Actors. Hope she’s got several shelves cleared in her home for the parade of accolades and awards that will continue to come her way! - Enjoy this 60 sec look at her nominated episode of “Black Mirror” entitled “Black Museum” … it was tricky but I tried to keep the spoilers this brilliantly written episode to a bare minimum for the few of you who haven’t seen it yet.
