-âHow many times are you going to bleed for them?â
Heavy glowing eyes, only darkened by the bags underneath, drift to look Dâata up and down. A small growl rises in her throat, expression all too apparent that she took this personally.
âAhâm not surprised ye think that way princess. Yer thâtype oâman ta hire muscle nânot bat an eye ta whatever fate they end up in. Sâlong as yer safe not riskinâ nail er toof sitting up there on yer tower.â
Uhme stomps over, tail flicking ever so slightly. She presses her face into his without making contact and glowers into his eyes.
âAhâll protect those who need it fer as long as I live. Iâd rather see my blood spilt than theirs cuz i know theyâd do thâsame fer me.â
The wolven girl pauses.
âI almost pity ye ta think that maybe ye dun havâ that many tâdo that for ye.â

Villain or Hero Edition:
đ- A silly situation that still makes them laugh
âHonestly,â Val said, with a withering roll of her eyes over the rim of her glass, âYouâre not my type. I donât know what you are; I like pretty, sad-eyed boys in mage robes, not⌠whatever in hell you two are all about.â
The blonde diviner gave a dismissive wave of her fingers towards the motley pair in front of her - a gangly, violet-haired elf and his grey-bearded dwarven companion - then turned to the side and made as if to converse with one of the other bar patrons. Â The Recluse was crowded that warm, late summer evening, but not with anyone terribly interesting - mostly off-duty guards and adventurers returned from the Broken Isles who were eager to share their stories of demons and portals and other things sheâd already seen through the eyes of scrying mirrors and orbs. Â It was heaps better than the Slaughtered Lamb, though, and less expensive than drinking back home in Dalaran.
Val had almost forgotten about the two men less than half an hour later, and was laughing over the antics of some gnome with a lute when a tap on her shoulder gave her a start. Â She turned, only to come face to clavicle with someone blue. Indigo blue, with shoulder-length violet hair. A look upwards presented her with the single most smug expression sheâd ever seen on another creature, human or otherwise.
They - the elf and the dwarf - were back.  They⌠were wearing lacy white dresses, ill-fitted, with dirty hems and petals strewn among their tulle-decorated skirts.  âEh?â the elf asked, waggling his long eyebrows.
Wedding dresses? Â The diviner unsuccessfully stifled a laugh, then set down her mug. Â âWhat the -â
âYâsaid yâliked - Malorne, howâd yâput it - âpretty, sad boys in dressesâ...â
âI did not!â Val bristled, still fighting laughter despite feeling the need to correct him.
âWeâre pretty sad, anâ weâre in dressesâŚâ  The elf raised his eyebrows once more in an expression somewhere between âgotchaâ and âcome hitherâ. âSo - whoâre you takinâ thâfirst turn with?â
The diviner stared up at him, at an utter loss for words. Â After several long seconds of bordering-on-awkward silence, she picked up her mug, drained the remainder of the apple lambic within in, and said, âWell. Â Iâve got just the thing for this, believe it or not.â
Her newfound âfriendâsâ smirk grew. Â âYeah? Whatâs th-?â
It was the fastest teleport sheâd ever cast in her life. Â The clay token in the shape of the tall, Dalaran spire hit the floor as the second half of âthatâ came out of the crass manâs mouth, and she stepped through without a glance back. Â With a reminder to never, ever drink in Stormwind again, Val stepped through the public portal in the large, colonnaded room and breathed a sigh of relief. Elves - they were never worth the trouble.

I am far more tired than I have allowed myself to acknowledge. I can say this now because of the utterly anxious dream I had the night prior. I know not where I was, but it was amidst a sea of long grass, laid on the ground to face the sky. The moment I began to sit up, the sky began to darken. I thought perhaps clouds had come, a storm but no, it was smoke. Thick and inky, smothering, accented with cinders that followed in its wake. By the time I had stood I realized to my horror that fire was encroaching steadily on all sides. I had no escape. I panicked, called for help... and then woke with a start. I haven't dreamed in over seven years.

Events are always fun with good company haha
hiiii! love your writing!! i have a question, i just read the new icly chapter, and i wanted to know if to describe what mc is going through, you got inspired by the brokenheart syndrome?
Hello!
Thank you so much for the compliment and the lovely question! So I didn't use Broken Heart Syndrome. Broken Heart Syndrome needs more time to develop as well as a few other factors. What I reference is Shock, PTSD, and Intense Grief.
Notice that Broken Heart Syndrome looks a whole lot like Intense Grief, that's because Broken Heart Syndrome is characterized by prolonged intense grief.
If you want to ask me other questions about this or anything about writing feel free to shoot me an ask! Thanks for reading!!
