there was hardly a time when the schnee was alone. he was doted on, pampered and guided constantly. this had been a night he wandered off, out of the hawk like gaze of their father, and prying but well meaning klein, into the softly lit cityscape of Atlas.
weiss had not been far behind, as he was not stupid enough to go out on his own, and though it may have taken some convincing, he would get her out one way or another, even if only to keep an eye on him.
though he didn’t think the night through, as each step was not planned, and the city was not well known to him without klein driving him around. thus it did not take them long to get lost. the city, while large, was dense. roads going which way and narrow passages between buildings leading to other unknowns.
he’d lost track of time by the time first words were spoken outside, stopping to stare down a snow covered street, undisturbed by local populace, no doubt already in bed, resting for the day to come.
“Atlas can be nice, without its people, Weiss. Pretty even, despite it’s flaws and occupiers.”
