THIS YES THIS. most likely both intentional and non-intentional. just with every generation people get less and less in touch with their culture and at some point in the early years there was conflict among the different stations bc of the whole you know nuclear war and people blaming others for the bombs and just fear mongering against certain ethnic groups bc of it
the fact that monty says in episode one ‘ there’s going to be another culling? ’ makes it very clear that cullings have happened before and how much would you wanna bet that these cullings affected those who did not want to assimilate into an american-centric monoculture? how much do you wanna bet it disproportionately affected poc?
