            ❝ I don't think that's a solution. ❞ River wasn't sure how else she could put it, but she really didn't want to give Alaric the wrong idea.

         “The last I heard Morgan was heading to the library.” Then again his sister was often found in the library, hiding between towers of books, references, and old tomes. “Were you unable to find her there Miss River?” If that was the case then Marc didn’t really have any ideas which was… Actually a little worrying for the teen. 

          ❝ She wasn’t in the library. I just came from there. ❞ River stood on her tippy toes to get a better view of Marc. ❝ You see ! I found this magic tome I’m sure she’ll love to read ! ❞ she excitedly proclaimed.

The green knight raised an eyebrow, looking at the invitation he was handed by River. It looked as though she was, indeed, invited to a wedding.

“Hmm. I was not aware that a wedding was going to be occuring. I wonder if he will invite me, as well. I hope so.”

The knight droned on, sounding about as excited as you would expect from a man who awoke several minutes earlier. He would need to give his congratulations to Chrome and his fiance. How he managed to remain in the dark for so long about this was beyond him.

          The girl spoke in a bubbly and excited voice, ❝ Oh yeah, about that! ❞ River riffled through her pocket and took out a letter. A cobalt candle crest sealed the letter shut. A satisfied smile spread over the tactician's face. Sure, the letter had seen better days, but it was in readable condition, right ? Wasn’t that all that mattered in the end ? ❝ The ink may be a wee bit runny, but. . . ❞ River quickly placed the weatherworn letter in his hand. 

        ❝ Taaa-dah ! ❞ she chirped cheerfully.

Well, this wasn’t something he expected. It wasn’t often the two talked, let alone held hands. He didn’t know why she was here, suddenly grasping his hand, though Gaius felt it would be rude to suddenly yank it back.

“Er…”

After a moment’s quiet, he finally said, “fancy meetin’ you here, Bubbles.”

            ❝ They’re not sticky. ❞

            She observed his hand with interest. She always saw him eating a lot of sweets, but her hand, in his, felt dry. His hands were rough, calloused. Was this what the hands of a thief felt like? River could tell Gaius’s were especially calloused and scratched. They had a lot of stories to tell ! ❝ Bummer. ❞ She pouted. ❝ Chrom said you had sticky fingers, Gaius. But they’re normal hands. They’re like, not sticky ? ❞

          River arched her eyebrow and grinned widely at Chrom. Was he joking? She almost laughed. ❝ Maybe next time ~ ! ❞

{✔}—”Chrom! Come quick!” After their battle with the Risen they looking around and helping the village that were under attack. Robin was making clear that everyone made out safety and there wasn’t any left over Risen.
