IBD Advocate Missing in Plain Sight
According to my Blog’s calendar it’s been 11 months since I last posted. This surprised me because, I could have sworn that I did post a few months ago. Turns out that I did post, about 5 months ago to be exact, on the wrong blog. Whoops! My last IBD-related post went to my SEO/marketing Tumblr. For those of you with nothing else to do with your time, here you go.
For those of you who would rather read instead of clicking and giving my much neglected other blog some traffic here you go — it’s a snapshot of my arm with a circle drawn around a batch of Remicade-induced hives (I'll write about that later).
Where have I been?
Oh, around… you know how it goes. You think up a post and you start to write it in your head. It gets really good and juicy. Then, your brain becomes satisfied with all that mental Blogging you've been doing, and before you know it you've not transferred a single bit of what you wrote in your brain onto that blasted computer. At this point in time, all those precious words and thoughts are gone, gone, baby gone.
Mentally filing a Blog post is unfortunately not possible at the moment, although I've heard that this could become possible in the near future. I've also heard there are many other people who suffer from this same affliction. Do you?
Due to this ongoing mental blogging “issue,” I estimate there are about 16 posts floating around my grey matter as I type this Post.
It hasn’t all been mental blogging to blame for my absence — I’ve been getting my IBD advocacy on in other ways like participating in pharmaceutical panels, web and cam chats, managing a few closed and open groups and pages with over 10,000 of you guys participating, as well as editing some materials for The Crohn’s Journey Foundation.
I joked earlier today that I've “been doing a lot of other people, but not myself” in terms of my work of course. And if you thought I was speaking of something else, smack yourself you cheeky monkey!
All kidding aside, after spending this past week with Sara at the Oley Conference and helping her host her first IBD Meet Up in Orlando, both Sara and I acknowledged there is a lot of work to be done for the IBD / Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis community.

So, without further ado, it’s time to get the wheels back on the wagon and get some posts up!
