My favorite thing about him is his desire to save his dad. The way he as a person is so clearly sculpted around that one massive change in his life and how he chooses to just say “fuck it” and stick to what he believes to be true is super admirable. In IANF we see that he clearly was never “cool” but you can tell that to some degree, his dedication pushed out everyone in his life. I love a character with a good unhealthy obsession that’s proven to be correct

I honestly can’t think of anything I don’t like about Sam. So I’ll just say he can be kind of a dickhead sometimes. But all things considered, I think he has the right to be an ass sometimes for all the shit that his friends have put him through

My favorite sam quote is more of a favorite moment but the quote seals the deal.

“Sam stares at me. He's frozen. His hands are extended out in front of him like he just shoved the Piken and still hasn't finished with the follow-through. Slowly, he blinks his eyes. The only correct choice for brOTP is John&Sam. I was never into them as a romantic paring but they are a perfect example of platonic soulmates. Dare I say their friendship is the cornerstone of the whole series. Think about it.

When they first got together, I wasn’t really into them as a couple. But wow have I grown to love Sam/Six. They complement eachother so well and I really like that the “nerd” got paired with the “hot girl” in a way that wasn’t a joke/done in an unrealistic way. They have a really fascinating relationship with realistic chemistry and good buildup. They’re also probably the least tragic cannon pairing so that’s always appreciated.

I wouldn’t necessarily say I have a nOTP with Sam, but Phiri/Sam was something I saw that I wish I could unsee. No. Just no.

For random headcannon, I like to think that after Sam got used to his powers, and kind of forgot how to use a lot of machines because he would just talk to them instead of using their buttons. John finds him in his New Lorien apartment staring at the gas oven for 20 minutes trying to remember how they work.

My unpopular (?) opinion is that Sam absolutely has dark brown/black, curly hair. I physically cannot picture him with straight sandy blonde hair. I personally hc as black, but even if you see him as white I cannot picture a blonde Sam. It just doesn’t compute in any way

For a song i associate with him, (I’m SO happy I finally get to answer this bc it’s all I can think about whenever I hear this song) I have to say Touch-Tone Telephone. (I know nothing about Lemon Demon lore so forgive me if I’m butchering this). The song perfectly captures a (maybe more intense) sight into IANF Sam’s mind. When he’s convinced aliens are responsible for his dad missing but he doesn’t KNOW know that.

(I could make a more through breakdown but I’m tried rn lmao. rb/comment if you want me to)

So ye I tried making all ten of them in CharaT! For those who’re not in the fandom, from left to right they are: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten. Oh wait, did I just…count up to ten? Hah. Love it when that happens. The one at the far right is Adam, who would, if I were more accurate, be put on One’s spot or something like that.

A slight bit of thought went into making this, although this is purely how I see them. For example, all of them except One cover their ankles (To those not in the fandom, I know this sounds pretty strange but really, this is relevant I swear). Five is the only one with (fingerless) gloves - sometimes, a gloves-wearing character signifies deceit.

For some, I made alternate sprites which you can see on the second image. It includes Traitor Five, past!Six (only difference is her haircolor) and Nine without his left arm (from this perspective, it looks like it’s the right). Also, here is Traitor Five alone, since there is another difference aside from his gloves being gone that you may not see at the main picture: his eye doesn’t reflect light anymore (there’s no light/dark contrast in it) and has no visible pupil. ‘Dead eyes’ in this sort of thing is always an indicator of something messed up.

How Elders are chosen/found/made/work???? Henri hints at this in the flashbacks to Lorien repeatedly in the main books and many of the Lost Files from Lorien also vaguely allude to the subject. The Elders somehow knew that the kids who went to Earth were “special”... how? Are they reincarnations of the Elders? They can’t be because Pittacus and Loridas were alive when the Garde we know now was. So... do they just have the same powers? And what does being an Elder entail? Do they simply have more Legacies? Do they get some knowledge that others on the planet don’t have? And how do they know who the Elders are from birth? We know kids don’t really show Legacies until after their toddler years and usually around ten years old. So, how could they know? Loridas also talks about them being “chosen”? Just generally: ?? The subject is still really foggy and I think it’d be such a cool story line. If Frey ever and Boose ever did a prequel series/Book, I’d love it to be about the Elders or someone close to them.

THE GODDAMN MOGADORIAN INVASION. Okay this one gets me fired up because clearly when Jobie Hughes left the Lorien Legacies, this storyline was one of the many that he would have included that got cut. I Am Number Four is riddled with these hints to bigger plots that are just never addressed bec they were just never taken out as they should have been. In IANF, it is REPEATEDLY said OVER AND OVER that there was something that the Mogadorians had to give them the edge. Some inside knowledge. Something beyond imaginability. Sooooo... What was it? Because they just kinda went to Lorien and were like “pew pew haha u dead now brah”. And it wasn’t the fact that Setrakus Ra was Loric because that was YEARS before the invasion, AND Setty’s wife even told Pittacus that he was enamored with his work in a dangerous way. So, ah, that HUGE ENORMOUS MAMMOTH MASSIVE GIANT plot was just kinda left alone. Hhhhh.
