An Introduction To Probability And Inductive Logic by Ian Hacking
Yet another book read for my philosophy of science class. I would have never picked something like this myself. This is completly out of my interests and my abilities. It is extremely mathematical, and I will admit I have struggled with it quite a bit. But I had my problems with it due to my lack of knowledge on the subject, not because the book lacks in something. In fact the book is very well made, the writing and explainations are clear, there are so many examples to further explain things, plus each chapter ends with a bunch of exercises to practice what you just learned. The structure of the book is very well thought out, and I am sure that if you are interested in the subject, amd have the base knowledge to fully understand the subject you'll really like this book.
